Hello and thank you,
No, I never got to do that. After a reboot, the bluetooth icon at the bottom right never reappeared. So I read into it and tried the Toshiba stack guide and can't get passed the "Installing Bluetooth driver..." screen because it continuously requests me to plug in a bluetooth device. So I thought maybe I could search up "bluetooth" on my computer and found absolutely nothing.
Does the Microsoft stack get installed via the driver for the bluetooth or is it like the Toshiba one and I need to go find it online to install it?
I'm going to remove my Toshiba and bluetooth installs, reboot and try again in the mean time.
EDIT
Took out my dongle to look at the sticker. It says its model number is "GBU421". And I have now uninstalled all Bluetooth related installs and am reinstalling the drivers via plug in. The icon is there!
I'll do as advised above and see if it helps.
EDIT 2
Yay, it worked! Checking that option made it stay even after reboot! Now it stores my Nintendo information in the devices for it! Thanks MusicNomad! You helped me solve my issue!
For those wondering, I did the following;
Uninstalled Toshiba & Windows stack (through windows program files; hit "yes" to delete all files associated to it)
Uninstalled Motionjoy (if you have it installed)
Manually cleaned up the folders they created
Rebooted (making sure dongle was not in computer)
Plugged in dongle & let it install
Then I did the above instructions and checked "Allow Bluetooth to find this computer" by right clicking the icon at the bottom right and opening the settings.
Now everything works!
