I'm using an off brand Wiimote, it worked fine last week...no problems adding it with bluetooth...etc Now I can't get dolphin to recognize it, I haven't changed anything. But now, when I go to dolphin to pair it up, it add's the device successfully but won't recognize it when I press refresh. What could be going on?

It's detected with windows 7, added it...etc. (windows 7 64bit) Anyone?

I do notice that in the bluetooth devices, it's now listed as "bluetooth peripheral device" instead of "Nintendo something"...is that a problem too?

No that is just the type of driver it installs. I have an off brand and an official brand wiimote. I find that the off brand one is a lot harder to connect then the official Nintendo wiimote.

Okay...but ya why would it stop working now? How do I fix it? I've never had a problem pairing up before today.

Yea, i removed the device, rebooted PC, did it again...etc nothing works. What the hell happened? Anyone know how to fix this? I tried 4 diff revisions too...

Well, I am not for sure myself but how i would solve this problem is by buying official Nintendo brand wiimote those seem to cause the least problems. Also a new rev of dolphin is coming out so it may fix your problems.

I think it is not a real/fake wiimote problem.
Try to delete the SYSCONF file.

The same thing happened to me just a few days ago. It must be some new update they have out. Could you please give specific step by step instructions on how to make it work?? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was afraid of that. It sounds like he is saying reinstall windows 7 and disable updates while putting in the bluetooth. I'm going to try and do a system restore to last week. Hopefully that works.

If anyone else has a better work around please let me know.

Okay, turns out that it's quite possible that windows update did something, as the person earlier said. I did a system restore to a week ago, while I was doing that I checked the "scan for affected programs" and noticed that there was a bluetooth update.

An update breaks it, that's my guess. So, I did the system restore, I disabled Windows update service and it seems to be working again now.

Thanks, main65.

yep, seems like a recent update has disabled the wiimote. Can anyone find out the exact update so we can uninstall that one?
