I noticed that the wiimote speaker has a noticeable delay and also the sound quality is bad, is there any workaround to this? I've found older threads for this issue but i figured maybe in recent revisions things changed.

I'm using the Mayflash Dolphin bar and a official Nintendo wimote plus. Just a note here, so far with the mayflash dolphin bar i have zero issues with random disconnects and the speaker on as the wiki says in some games.

No, there is no work-around for the wiimote speaker audio quality. It is caused by the high latency built into the Windows operating system.

So this problem doesn't exist in Mac or Linux? (just curious)

Linux, the Toshiba Stack, and the DolphinBar all have it. In fact, I know of no work around at all. It's possibly the way Dolphin is transferring audio and not necessarily the bluetooth stack itself.
