The wiimote pairs up with dolphin without a problem, but it won't recognize the pointer. Do I need a sensor for this to work? Can I use the one that comes with the console assuming it is turned on?

Can I use the one that comes with the console assuming it is turned on? The sensor bar is just a few IR LEDs, it's just a light source, it doesn't read any input. Thus, the name "Sensor Bar" is totally misleading. In theory, you can use candles or a sufficiently hot cup of tea. And yes, I think you need that sensor bar for the pointer to work. |
