Hey guys im bumping this thread because i have the very same problem and cannot find an answer, I have to resync the wiimote (twice) every time i want to use it because I take out the batteries to save them.

If i leave the batteries in its all ok but who does that Sad im not rich to buy fucking batteries every two days xD, Or does the wii mote just doesn't use that much power when its idle?

I cannot find that "winmote" driver anywhere and the damn wiiscantray doesn't detect shiatz.
My Specs: AMD Phenom II x4 940 3.0ghz - w7/Ubuntu 11.04
