I'm not entirely sure then. Unless it really ruins the game, I wouldn't bother, though, as for me at least, when it does work, it sounds horrible.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

Unless you can live with LLE audio emulation (DSP-LLE) which is very CPU-heavy (depending on how much audio processing is done by the game), not all games will be able to output Wiimote Speaker audio data with DSP-HLE.

IIRC, with DSP-HLE it works* with games such as Zelda Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy (maybe all games that use a Zelda µcode?). With DSP-LLE it should work* with all games.

*Not perfectly, I suppose... Try to live without it if Dolphin's output sounds horrible (and/or if it causes noticeable button input lag) to you.
My computer specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x86
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @2.66Ghz - 2GB of DDR2 RAM (400Mhz)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512
