Wiimote Plus don't sync anymore

Hello people ! Smile

I'm here to request your help about my Wiimote Plus which refuse to be sync'ed with my computer anymore.

During about a week I got no problems with it, i just had to sync it and play using TOSHIBA Bluetooth Stack 8. Then I wanted to use the software provided with my BT dongle (TRENDnet TBW-107UB), BlueSoleil v5, because TBTS was only a shareware. But since then the Wiimote Plus just don't want to sync anymore, no matter which software I use, BS or TBTS.

The problem I got is when I decide to sync my device : I press the sync button, the leds are blinking and when i chose to sync my Wiimote via any software the leds stop blinking and i got an error display telling me that the operation failed. I tried to change the batteries by new ones but the problem is still the same. I tried to find something in the regedit but i found nothing. My Wiimote is a RVL-036 model.

Is someone having an idea about my problem ?

Thank you for reading and/or helping ! Smile

(And sorry for my average english)

Is your wiimote a -TR? There's a -TR quirk that sometimes prevents it from connecting to a computer. The only solution is to sync it to something that can pair with it, such as a Wii, Wii U, or (guessing, haven't had the chance to try it yet) DolphinBar. If you don't have any of these available, WiiPair has been successfully used to fix this.

I read somewhere on the forum that someone encountered the same problem (sorry, can't seem to find the thread anymore...)
The solution was to press a button on the Wiimote, wait for the 4 lights to stop blinking and THEN launch the sync with the Toshiba BT Stack.

Don't know if this is of any help, but it might be worth giving a try Wink

Hi guys and thank you for your answer ! Smile

I tried your tip Captain but it didn't work, thank you anyway Smile

Yes this is a RVL-CNT-01-TR MaJoR. I have no Wii / U / DolhpinBar so i tried to use the WiiPair software but i don't understand how it works, knowing that it can't be sync'ed via the BT dongle. No Wiimote can't be found in the soft Sad

WiiPair only works with MS Stack, but you need Toshiba Stack since you have a -TR wiimote. In other words, you can't use WiiPair...

Damn, I fucked myself in the end because I didn't want to keep TBTS because it was a shareware :/ What will happen when I will go through the 30-days trial ?

Well, what should I do with TBTS then ? Nothing ? Just try to sync with a real Wii / U ?

You can try another route: grab a Linux Live-CD (like Ubuntu), boot to it and try pairing the Wiimote here, then go back to Windows, it should do the trick.

About Toshiba stack, indeed it's shareware, but only if you're not using a Toshiba BT Dongle. Also Toshiba doesn't sell licenses anymore, so, there's no legal way around that other than getting a Toshiba compatible BT Dongle (like the one listed at our Recommended Accessories guide).

You could also try the Dolphin Bar, it'll solve your issues with -TR remotes and it's cheap, but I'm unsure if it'll fix your pairing issue...

^ That's great advice. You should do that!

Hello guys and sorry for the late answer.

I don't know how and why but when i installed TBTS again that night, the Wiimote Plus sync'ed perfectly well, while it refused to do so the last times i tried to do that ! I don't understand anything but I'm happy Smile

Whatever, i keep your solution under my hat and I'll try this if I got this problem later on.

Thank you all guys for supporting me ! Smile
