Hi dolphin forums!
I am really impressed at how well wiimote support works, but I'm having a problem getting each wiimote to correspond to the proper player number/LED. After synching a number of wiimotes (usually four), quitting the game, quitting dolphin, restarting PC etc., and then starting dolphin again, the wiimotes seem to "remember" their player assignment, and even after re-synching, can't be reassigned to another player.
Let me clarify a little. This isn't a problem with four player games, I just sync all four and don't worry about assignment. But when I switch to a one or two player game, I have to make sure I sync the ones I had set as player 1/2 before - because synching the wrong wiimotes will cause LED 3 or 4 to light up, even with just two players. In addition, I can't seem to play Skyward Sword any longer because my only WMP-enabled wiimote seems to REALLY like being player two
- and again, this happens even if it is the only wiimote I enable in the dolphin wiimote configuration.
Some added info-
Using rev 235, 555, 592, 594. Haven't grabbed one of the latest just yet.
I'm using an IOGear brand bluetooth dongle, and its range is pretty awful. I switch between revisions, versions of Bluesoleil, and games quite a bit. I'm not sure if the wiimote itself records its player assignment (doubtful), bluesoleil does (also doubtful), or if it's something dolphin is doing. The last option seems obvious, but the problem seems to persist regardless of revision (I start each new rev with a fresh user folder).
Usually I am very patient with getting wiimotes to work properly (my friends not so much - they would rather play on a wii and not have to wait) - but I can't seem to figure this one out. Please don't interpret this as a complaint. I feel very privileged to play and use Dolphin. But if someone has experienced this, please let me know!
