I'd really love some help with my Wiimote pairing problem if anyone has any ideas. I've gotten the Wiimote to fully connect and be recognized by PC using the Bluesoleil software included with the external dongle I bought yesterday. However, when I try to click the refresh button in Dolphin to pair the wiimote Dolphin freezes and becomes unresponsive, forcing me to kill the process. Any ideas? I tried wiping Bluesoleil and installing the Windows 7 bluetooth stack, but it still causes Dolphin to freeze up when I try to pair the controller. I have tried using the most recent stable release of Dolphin (4.02) as well as the most recent development build, same result. Thank you!

If it's not a TR wiimote (it shows up as RVL-CTR-01):

Undo everything you've done to it with BlueSoleil. Potentially consider replacing BlueSoleil with the default Microsoft bluetooth stack (I'm not sure if Dolphin works with BlueSoleil at all, which might be the cause of the crash). Update Dolphin to the latest development build at https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ (currently 4.0-5172). Go into Wiimote settings, turn on Continuous Scanning, set Wiimote 1 to Real, and then hold 1+2 on the Wiimote for a few seconds until it connects. Don't ever pair it anywhere outside of Dolphin.

If it is a TR wiimote (it shows up as RVL-CTR-01-TR):

Undo everything you've done to it with BlueSoleil. Uninstall BlueSoleil, and install the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. Pair it there. Do the same stuff as described above to Dolphin.

OR:

Buy a Mayflash DolphinBar. Follow the instructions it comes with. Realise your life is much easier.

Thanks for the response! I am currently not at my home computer but I will check to see which version wiimote I own. I tried removing Bluesoleil and using the MS bluetooth stack; should I need not go through the Windows 7 pairing (find device) process and just jump to dolphin, or do I need my PC to recognize the device first?

Nope, jump straight to Dolphin if it's a standard RVL-CTR-01.
