Far as I know this happens on every revision, and is a bug/feature yet to be fixed.
Has this been logged as a bug to be fixed with the devs? Had a look through the svn bugs/changes list but it's not very clear that it has been!

Haven't verified its the Nyko wand, but thats what I now think the problem is. Would borrow/buy a Nintendo wand today but snowed in.

it would be great, if someone could explain the problem a second time, and best quite detailed.
I'm not sure what u tried and what not so far. Btw for ppl, where the pair up button didnt work, make sure u checked the systray for bluetooth messages during pair up. Sometimes u've to confirm a systray notification (its just once, windows will remember ur selection and wont ask u ever again). Make sure u use pure builds ( e.g. www.dolphin-emu.org, and dont use orleans builds, prone to cause trouble with inputdevices) and disable the windows update service, it will half the required amount of time for pairing. and of course make sure u.... enabled the BT radio As well make sure to directly press the refresh button after u clicked the pair up button, else the wiimote wont be able to get connected. I tried several 3rd party wiimotes under win7 (RC/71000) x64, all worked flawless. Dont forget to select as input device REAL wiimote, best before u do the pairup/refresh wiimotes. I'll try and explain in a bit more detail but I think there are a few different issues people are experiencing here. To rule out a couple of things from your list, I am using a pure build not an orleans build and BT radio is enabled. I have selected real wiimotes in the wiimote plugin for player 1 and 2.
I am running Win7 x64 with the MS BT stack but am experiencing the same issues on my other computer, which is running Vista x86. Issue 1: After restarting my computer, having been using Dolphin and the wiimotes successfully, I am left with the "nintendo rvl-cnt-01" in the MS BT devices list - 1 entry for each wiimote. However if I go into dolphin I cannot pair up my wiimotes any more. Sometimes I will get an error in the system tray that the drivers failed to install (they shouldn't need to install since the devices are already connected), other times nothing will happen at all. To fix this, I have to remove the devices from the BT stack, close dolphin, reopen dolphin, then pair up the wiimotes again one at a time. This usually works but sometimes I have to do this process 2 or 3 times before they are recognised in dolphin again. Issue 2: Dolphin can see both wiimotes, they have been paired up in the wiimote plugin, I've pressed refresh and gone back to the main scree. One led is lit up on each of the wiimotes - everything is as it should be. However starting a game (any game) and the wiimotes are not detected. Pressing alt-f5 or alt-f6 pops up the message that they have been connected, but the notification in the bottom right of the main screen still says "connecting...." Hope that's enough detail! 02-07-2010, 11:36 PM
issue 1:
the remaining driver itself is no issue @windows, the pair up button will remove the remaining driver anyways before it readds the device again. Sometimes, thats probably what ur noticing ( use at aleast r4989 @dolphin), the wiimote pair up wont work when u start dolphin. (ive the same issue) after a computer restart. However, if the pair up will fail the first time, just restart dolphin and try the pair up again, usually that does the trick. I'm not sure yet, what exactly causes that problem. It might also be somehow correlated with the order in which you turn on bluetooth/dolphin/wiimote, who knows. issue 2: If u press the refresh button ur wiimote should rumble, if not they aint bound to the wiimote plugin properly. if it says connectiong @game, pause the game, then unselect the wiimotes which are selected under Tools(menubar) and recheck them after u unchecked them, if they werent unchecked, check em as well. Then press the play button. That's all what comes in my mind atm. good luck C2D 2.4Ghz; 4GB; Geforce 9700M; Win7/X64.

(02-07-2010, 11:36 PM)schez Wrote: issue 1: Thanks for the reply. This hasn't been my experience however. If I try to pair up in dolphin with 1 or 2 wiimotes already detected in the MS BT devices list, then I get the error unable to install "Bluetooth HID device". It looks like dolphin is partially removing the drivers, but not completely. Then when Windows tries to reinstall the drivers it fails. Am I the only one experiencing this? If not would be good if others could post here then perhaps we can persuade a dev to look into it in more detail. Of course in an ideal world you wouldn't need to pair up each time, just hit the refresh button! If MS can still see the wiimotes after a restart, why can't dolphin?
Because u need to have a valid pairing, only cuz the device is listed doesn't mean its also PAIRED.
(you will lose the pairing if the wiimotes shuts down, e.g. by pressing the power button or if u ve removed the batteries or if u just restart ur computer) That's why we have to remove the device and readd it again. Keep in mind that the the wiimote is not a fully bt compliant device. The pair up button just removes the device and readds it to get a pairing with the device. For instance, taking out the battieres from ur wiimote results in pairing loss, that means u ve to remove the device and add it again (or just use the pair up button after u restarted dolphin). Thats the exact same issue when u restart ur computer. The removal of the device usually works with the pair up button but sometimes the readd prones to fail, resulting in the addition of an unpaired device (thats why u still see a device added in ur bt manager). Like i said, in 99% of the cases it helps to just close dolphin and restart dolphin and pressing the pair up button again, to remove the previously failed paired device and attempt to readd it again. Hope i could clear out a few things. C2D 2.4Ghz; 4GB; Geforce 9700M; Win7/X64.
