Wiimote on Mac

Hi, I'm having trouble connecting my Wiimote to my mac. It doesn't seem to want to pair with my computer. I'm using the Bluetooth assistant in System Preferences. My computer detects the remote, but when I try to pair it, it just hangs and never connects. What should I do? Is there some trick to connecting the wiimotes to macs?

have you tried pairing the wiimote to Dolphin or the comp?

Is it an official nintendo wii remote? I've heard people have trouble getting the third party ones to work properly. All I've ever needed to do is press 1 and 2 on the wii remote and click refresh under the wiimote settings window in dolphin. Also, make sure it's set to "real wiimote" and not "emulated wiimote".
