Wiimote not working when nunchuck is connected.

I just got my real wiimote and nunchuck, but when I try to play Fatal frame 4 and connect nunchuck to my wiimote none of the buttons work anymore. They work fine if I just use wiimote in other games.. Is there some box I have missed that needs to be ticked when nunchuck is present or am I just stupid?

Since there is no edit button, I guess I'll double post adding that even if I use hybrid mode and emulate nunchuck my wiimotes buttons stop working.. I'm kinda at loss here.
