Wiimote not showing up in plugin

I connected my gf's wiimote to my computer today and it all connected fine, and when i open the config for dolphin wiimote, the controller vibes and controller 1 is lit up, however when i go to button mapping, the controller isnt even in the drop down list and when i start a game, it just says connecting.

I connected using windows 7 built in bluetooth drivers. im using orleans 4658 32bit.

any help will be much appreciated
