When I try to connect my Wiimote to my laptop that runs on Windows 11, it doesn't work at all. It never recognizes it as a device no matter what I do. Pressing 1+2 or even the sync button doesn't ever get it to connect and I tried through both the Bluetooth Device manager and even Devices and Printer.

The reason I know it's a problem with Windows 11 exclusively is because the Wiimote connects right away on my computer that runs Windows 10. Anyone know what's going on or have a solution? Thanks.

You don't want to connect your wiimote through Windows, you do it in Dolphin's controller settings.

/\ This. Open Dolphin's controller settings, press1+2 on your Wiimote and click on Refresh. After a few seconds, the Wiimote will be paired, connected and ready to use.

Alternatively, you can also enable "Continuous Scanning", that way, you can press 1+2 at any moment and the Wiimotes will connect automatically as long as Dolphin is open...

Thank you! It worked for me perfectly. I couldn't find any tutorials online that helped so I'm glad you suggested this.

Hi, I have tried doing this and dolphin is not connecting my Wiimote. My computer does have bluetooth as well. I tried with continuous scanning and refresh.

Is your Wiimote original, made by Nintendo, or is it a 3rd party model? 3rd party models are hit or miss and generally only works properly with Bluetooth Passthrough mode...

It's third party. So I'll look at seeing if a bluetooth usb adapter will allow me to connect since Windows isn't detecting with my built in bluetooth. Thanks!

So I've done this, and I saw your other message about it being 3rd party, but I'm *still* having the issue of my official wii remote with wii motion plus inside not connecting, even with continuous scanning checked off, any other possible reasons why it wouldn't work?

So I didn't know new posts have to be moderated, and when I sent the last one it didn't show up so I sent this one. I'd delete this message but I have no idea how, so instead of sending a new one I just edited it as an explanation for its existance.
