Wiimote mouse/gamepad config issues

Configuration troubles?

I'm trying to configure a setup that allows me to use the mouse to point my emulated wiimote at the screen, and using the common a/b buttonss on the mouse. Default setup does this part for me. But I want my other hand's nunchuk (especially it's analog stick) to NOT be on keyboard controls. I'd like it (and the less used wiimote controls, like + or -, for instance) to be mapped to a gamepad, held in my left hand, while the mouse remains in my right. This gives me an analog stick to emulate the analog stick on the nunchuk, and enough buttons to match it (l1 and l2 for C and Z), along with select and a dpad for 5 addition functions, which would cover the remaining 4 buttons on wiimote not covered by the mouse. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get the program to register input from both sources simultaneously, even using the 'configure an advanced control' option by right clicking the input I want.

Can anyone offer me some insight onto how to do this? It seems the most logical way to handle both controls, for those of us not capable of using our actual wiimotes.

Using advanced input options, can you see both sources of input that you want from the drop-down box?

Yes, however if I select 'usb gamepad' in the input source, no mouse controls show up. if I hit 'keyboard/mouse' in the box, mouse and keyboard controls show up. But if I have the controls set to take input from one, attempting to advanced select the other results in 'syntax error' or something like that displaying after I select the new control and try to hit 'ok'.

However, upon trying this again, it works this time... Huh

No clue what popped the error before, but looks it works for me now. Sorry for the trouble.
