Attemption to connect my nintendo brand wiimote "Motion plus inside" and nunchuk to my pc. After following the exact instructions detailing how (selecting real wimote) my computer starts a viscious cycle of repeatedly installing the same HID driver over and over and over and over and ovr again. Thoughts?

Try disabling Windows automatic driver updates. That will stop Windows from searching the Internet for appropriate drivers and will stop the vicious cycle in most cases.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed) RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5
Thank you, that has indeed stopped the viscous cycle. However, the wiimote is still not properly connecting. The wiimote configuration displays that 1 wiimote is connected, however all the buttons on my wiimote continue to flash. While attemptiing to play Skyward Sword, the game is unresponsive to controller input, and the error screen saying that the wiimote has been siconnected appears at the beginning
Can anyone tell me how to find out the exact type of bluetooth hardware I have in my computer? 10-13-2012, 02:45 PM
The official Wii Remotes with built-in MotionPlus only work on the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, or so I've heard. You can install that, but I dunno how, I ain't usin' Windows.

Make sure your Wiimote is set to real, and then try Toshiba. My Zelda motion+ works perfectly with the ms stack so I don't think that is the problem.

What do you mean "try Toshiba"?

I don't have an external USB bluetooth radio. I have an internal "Atheros Bluetooth Bus"
Alright, so now that I've messed with the settings the previous members recommended, I'd like to start over. I have an internal "Atheros Bluetooth Bus" which I believe is similar to what the dude in this video has: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlGWvcSe-hE ...however I don't think the ASUS Drivers are compatible (maybe they are?). After setting the wiimote config settings to "Real Wiimote" and hitting the Pairing Up button and the 1 and 2 buttons on my wiimote simultaneously, I get a message in the bottom right saying "Installing HID Bluetooth Driver". Most of the time it does not pair, and after waiting and pressing the 1 and 2 buttons and the Pairing Up button again, it starts to install the HID Bluetooth Drivers again. After it does this about 5 times, it will display that the wiimote is paired, and the lights on the wiimote continue to flash without stopping. When attempting to play a game however, the game does not detect that the wiimote is connected. Alt F5 does nothing except flash the wiimote is connected sign. |
