I'm going to do what boaboa suggests and do a clean reinstall. The thing is I don't want to lose all the progress in my games.

Can someone please show me where the directory for the saved files are so that I can pull the old swicheroo and jump back into the game?

If at all possible.

Thanks

Thanks For all the help. Appcleaner is a really practical app.

I registered just to say I've had the same problems as everyone here,

Only this morning I tried out attaching a wiimote. Success (I had an older r7683 version of Dolphin) & enjoyed the success.

I then decided to check out for any updates since I'd not used Dolphin for such a long time. Grabbed the latest version. No wiimote fun.

I've used AppCleaner to remove every aspect of Dolphin, reinstalled older versions (Both r7683 & 3.0-415) but still no fun. Just the same old flashing LEDs although Dolphin tells me it's connected to 1 controller.

I've been playing Dolphin with an Xbox 360 controller for the past few days and it works great. However, I decided to order an actual Wii Remote Motion plus and it won't even connect to my iMac running 10.7.3 Lion. Not sure what to do?

EDIT: Re-installed Dolphin and it works now!!!! Sensor bar comes in the mail tomorrow so let's hope everything works!

Typical computers,

I ignored things for a week or so, come back to my .415 installation & everything's fine. No messing needed.

Day 1 -
I have set up a mac mini, running osx 10.7.3, 2.5 GHz, 8 GB ram.

I purchased an IR bar, and 2 Wiimote plus (RVL-CNT-01-TR).

I installed several versions of Dolphin, currently running the most recent version, 3.0-710. I can start up games and play them using the keyboard interface.

The problem that I am having is using the wiimotes to control the emulator, there are bluetooth connected to the computer, and can get them pseudo connected to dolphin but they dont do anything.

I have read alot of posts online and have been trying things for days, now making a call out for help to see if there is a ninja who has gotten this configuration to work.. ???

-ethan

Day 2 -
To be more specific about the connection issue. I connected the wiimote with the onboard mac mini bluetooth and connection can be made.

I can start up Dolphin and go to wiimote menu. Attempt connection by either pressing ( "the red sync buttion" or "Wiimote buttons 1&2" ) in conjunction with pressing the refresh in Dolphin wiimote menu.

No vibrate, all nights flashing...

Please post if you have some idea.
Day 3 -
Is there some bit that needs to be changed in Dolphin sourcecode?

Day 4 -
Bought two different types of controllers, both RVL-CNT-01, one third party, tested them with several builds of Dolphin. Unfortunately, same symptoms.

So give up and use windows?

!!!Solution!!!

I used to have the exact same problem until i accidentally found a way to get around it. The problem is when you connect a Wii remote through a mac it automatically uses a passcode which prevents it from connecting to dolphin properly.

Step 1. Firstly delete any previous Bluetooth pairing with your wii remote controller ( you can do this by right-clicking "Bluetooth icon", Click open Bluetooth preferences then with the controller highlighted click the - sign at the bottom and delete it)
Step 2. Press 1+2 on Wii controller then click "set up bluetooth device" ( if option to pair or reject come up click Reject) Whilst its searching DO NOT PRESS CONTINUE until after the lights stop flashing on the Wii Controller ( This takes about 30 seconds and will result in it saying it could not be paired, which is what we want)
Step 3. "Now if you press back the box for passcode options" is viewable. Now Press 1+2 again and when its found click "Passcode options" and tick the box that says "Do not use passocde for this device"
Step 4.Now Press continue whilst the lights are flashing and it will connect. But as you have selected no passcode for device Wii controller wont have a problem connecting to dolphin Wiimote
Step 5.In Dolphin Click Wiimote and click Refresh
Step 6. Straight after press the 1+2 or the red Sync button near the batter holder and it should now connect with one stationary light and rumble once.

This method has worked for me every single time and i hope it works for you too. The only difference is we remove the use of a passcode when pairing up to the Mac's bluetooth. Please respond if it helped you out

So, I got everything connected finally. Took two tries, but it worked. Only one light is on, and I got a rumble out of it. HOWEVER, I can't seem to actually use the Wiimote in my game; it's like it's not receiving the input from it. Help?

Also, what are odds you'd respond to a dead thread the same day I'm trying this? NICE
