I cannot get my official Wiimote to connect to Dolphin on Linux. I have set up my BT adapter according to the wiki:
and I was previously getting LIBUSB_ERROR_ACCESS, but later found out that was because I named the rules file wrong. Now it appears that Dolphin detects and uses the adapter (I can see it take it away from the system on launching a game), but it refuses to pair with my Wiimote. When I pair it (either by pressing 1+2 or the sync button) the lights blink, I click Sync in the menu, it searches for Wiimotes, and the lights on my Wiimote stop blinking for a split second and then continue to blink.
I have tried emulating the BT adapter. I have tried every combination of "Connect Wii Remote for Emulated Controllers" and "Continous Scanning". I have reset all pairings several times. I have manually added the BT adapter's VID and PID in Dolphin.ini. I have pulled the batteries on the Wiimote and let it drain all power before plugging them back in. I have tested the Wiimote with Wmgui outside of Dolphin and it pairs just fine and can be used as a basic input device. I have tested with different Wiimotes, both official. I have tested on the latest Flatpak package of Dolphin on 5.0-16380 as well as an AppImage on 5.0-15445. I cannot understand what else I am doing wrong.
OS is Devuan Linux (fork of Debian) and Dolphin is installed via Flatpak with permissions to access BT devices and an AppImage to check if issues were related to Flatpak's sandboxing.
