Wiimote Config for older version

I am using an older revision (r5999) because it has the older wiimote config, which is needed to properly play some older wii games like Wario Land Shake It.

Anyway, I am trying to bind the wiimote up, down, left, and right buttons to the analog stick on a controller. I would just change it to different axes in the Wiimote.ini file but all of the bindings use a number code, so that doesn't really work. Also I tried a different controller and still couldn't bind the movement keys to analog stick.

Any suggestions?

The old wiimote plugin did not support mapping axes to the wiimote directional buttons, it will not do what you want.

"Wario Land Shake It" works well with the new wiimote configuration.
Map your "shake button" to all three of Shake X,Y and Z.

Doesn't work.
Binding all of the 3 wiimote shakes to 1 button doesn't work.
Binding all of the 3 nunchuck shakes to 1 button doesn't work.
Binding all 6 shakes to 1 button doesn't work.

The controls for this on the emulated wiimote are simply a mess for some reason. Movement keys are on the d-pad; up is left, down is right, left is down, right is up ....

it doesn't work on an emulated wiimote.
no matter what key you bind shake/wiimote movement to, it doesn't register in-game.
