Wiimote aiming off to the right in some games

Hello

I'm using an official Wiimote and in some games, particularly in this case Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles the aim is off. When I aim at the centre of the screen the aiming reticule is off to the right and often slightly lower than it should be.

With games that have in-game calibration (such as House of the Dead Overkill) that doesn't seem to be a problem, but in games RE: DC it is because they don't have any calibration options.

I stand about 3-4" away from the TV, the sensor bar is placed on the top. I've tried standing further away but that doesn't seem to help.

Short of moving my sensor bar to one side of the top of my TV to compensate is there any way I can fix this issue?

Thanks.

Is the sensor bar an official one from nintendo, or 3rd party? And what other games have the problem?

It's an official Nintendo one.

Not sure about other games with the problem as all the others where I need to aim properly with the wiimote have calibration options (House of the Dead 2/3 and Overkill, and Ghost Squad). The rest of the games I've got I use a gamepad for or they don't need precise aiming, i.e. shooting.

It could just be an issue particular to RE: DC I guess.

Hmm. So every game you have tried has the aim off, and you have to calibrate around it right? Press home during a wii game, is it off there as well?

Yes, previously all the shooting games I've tried (all 4 of that I have) have had the aim slightly off centre (or at least it's looked that way) so I've had to use the in-game calibration for them (or move the sensor bar off centre).

However I just tested again in HotD Overkill and also RE: DC after moving my sensor bar back to the centre of my TV, and I held the Wiimote up so it's level to my eyes, literally pressing it to my cheek and looking down it like I'm aiming down the sights of a pistol and it was actually pretty much centred (although in RE: DC it did seem a little lower than it should be, despite having the in-game vertical correction setting on full).

Perhaps it's a perception thing, but when I'm using it for games like HotD Overkill, and RE: DC I use the Venom pistol shell (the one with the Walther P99 styled grip) so I'll have to check with that also - could be that the pistol shell has the Wiimote sitting slightly off centre.

When I press home it seems to be OK also.

I'll test some further but earlier when I was play RE: DC, and also previously, the aiming reticule appeared to be off to the right, however I wasn't holding the Wiimote up at eye level I was holding it more around my chest area as I was sitting down.
