I have been wondering do you need the IR senor bar for the Wiimote movement to work piz help

yep, you need a sensor bar for the wiimote cursor to move on your pc screen. The sensor bar doesn't actually transmit any information to the pc, the wiimote just uses it to track the location of the cursor. Because of this you can even use 2 candles as an infrared light source. You can't use the wired sensor bar that comes with a wii on your pc as you need to plug that into a special port on the wii for it to work, so you can either use a wireless sensor bar or a usb sensor bar. personally i would suggest buying a usb sensor bar as it can run off the power from a usb port on your pc and you don't need to constantly change batteries, saving you a lot of money.
