Should I be using some patched HLE Dolphin client or are those unnecessary now?

If you want better sound with HLE, use a Dolphin build with the Xenoblade HLE Patch. If you have enough CPU power, use LLE.

Was wondering if anybody could help me out with an issue that I've been having with this game for the longest time. During specific points of certain cutscenes, the game will freeze up for about 2-3 seconds and the audio will start looping. What's strange about this problem is that it isn't random, as it happens at very specific points. For instance, during the intro cutscene...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6FH_4guK5A

...the first freeze will happen at 2:32-2:33. It'll last for 2-3 seconds, and then the game goes back to normal until 2:35-2:36 where it freezes for another 2-3 seconds. The game goes back to normal again until 2:55-2:56 where it does the same thing. This keeps repeating in the same spots every time, regardless of what revision of Dolphin I'm using or what my settings are. Regardless of if I'm using 3.0 or 3.0-801, the issue still persists. My specs:

GPU = x2 580 SLI
CPU = 2600k 4.5
RAM = 8GB 1600
OS = Win 7 Home 64-bit

My OC is stable, but just to be sure, I reset my BIOS and tried to run the game. Still had the problem. I tried moving the game from my HDD to my SSD (yes I made the rip myself from my own copy of the game, NTSC), but that didn't help either. I tried disabling SLI from the NVIDIA control panel, and nothing.

Any ideas? Because I've been stumped ever since the game was released and haven't been able to figure out what the problem is. Would really appreciate any help.

Hey guys, I'm new here.

I'm just wondering what would be the ideal build of Dolphin to use for Xenoblade for my computer.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz
ATI Radeon 4850 1 GB
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Would I also be able to run the HD Retexture stuff as well?

Thanks.

Just try the latest build with the Xenoblade HLE Patch (Your CPU is not strong enough for LLE). And yeah, custom textures are no problem Wink

nekroturkey what are your settings ? Did you try to disable all demanding settings such as efb copy to ram and antialiasing ?
It doesnt metter you have powerful card,some games simply doesnt like AA. Just increase IR instead if thats the problem

It used to happen to my when I had core 2 duo cpu, but it didnt happen once when I got i5 2400...

Yep, I've disabled AA/AF/texture filtering/etc. I've tried running it at the x1 native resolution, I've tried DX9 and DX11, I've tried EFB copy to texture. The issue persists regardless of what settings or revision of Dolphin I use.
