So I tried comparing HLE and LLE and I definitely get the sound distortion way more often on HLE. Like once every 10-20 minutes whereas I have only ever gotten it like two times while playing with LLE.

Have those of you with slightly slower CPUs tried using LLE at all? I mean it's easy to dismiss it right off the bat since it's very slow in many games but when I used it with Xenoblade there was no performance hit at all; around 200% with either HLE or LLE with frame limit off in the same area.

It's impossible for my computer to run LLE even at 3.45ghz. Performant HIT is not the problem, it's that my performance regardless is not 100% stable, so it CONSTANTLY stutters. It's easy to dismiss because it is worthless for a low end processor.

Ah, okay then. Sorry I brought it up. Yeah, LLE is more compatible but if you're not running at exactly 100% it's pretty painful to listen to. And in some games sometimes it makes random skips even if you are.

Personally, yes. I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi I used on my old machine but it hates 64 bit Windows with more than 4 GB ram.

I've got an onboard, yes. Realtek HD Audio 7.1, I believe. My video card also has HD audio drivers in it, too.

Asus HD 6870 (not overclocked)
Audio: On board
4GB DDR3 1300 mhz
Windows 7 64bit

Config: Dual core: On - Idle Skipping: On - Framelimit: Auto - Jit Recompiler -
Audio: DSP HLE - DSP LLE On thread: On - Audio Throttle: OFF - Audio Backend: xAudio2
Graphics: Directx 11 - Internal Res: 4x - Anti-aliasing: NO (internal res 4x looks a lot better) - AF: NO - Pre-Pixel: NO - Force Texture Filtering: NO -
Hacks: Skip EFB access CPU: On - Ignore Format changes: OFF - EFB Copies: Texture and Ram ON - External Framebuffer: OFF - Cache Display List: ON - Disable Pre-Pixel Depth: On (other things in hacks and advanced are off)

Huge crackly-stuttery sound issues for me with those settings. I posted a ways back how I run it and get almost no issues.
