I use the r6856m build from the hle fix thread and I got about 25 frames in the colony 9 place but when I get the first really big open place, bionis's legs I get about 20 fps is there any other build I can use that will make it go faster? or must I suffer this fps? I got 4 gigs DDR3 ram, AMD athlon 2 x4 630 at 2.8 ghz, nivdia gtx 580 TI, I use no AA, x16 AF, and I disabled fog. Can someone please help me try to find a way to play this with 25fps? I expected fps drops at intense moments but not a steady 20ish fps the whole time I'm in big open places =<

If you can :p (not because you can't figure it out, but because you simply can't with your set up )

Athlon CPU does not overclock well and it can't handle demanding games well . Even if you had it overclocked to 3.4GHz , you would still have slowdown from time to time
Xenoblade is one of those demanding games ( The Last Story , MHTri , Mario Galaxy , Padora's Tower ... ) Your GPU is the beast but your CPU is just ...too slow and outdated . In other word , your CPU bottleneck the GPU System Requirement Laptop: Mini PC :: 01-14-2013, 03:09 AM
yea well overclocking seems like to much trouble for not enough pay off, though if I shut a bunch of my programs down I can get 22-24 fps out of combat and 21-23 when I'm in a fight which is fine enough since at those fps's the sound isn't all teary and shit so I'm gunna run with it

The size of the window to put a small player, less than 1280 by 720.

I noticed noone has posted any pics of xenoblade with eyefinity, i got hold of a second monitor and spent a few minutes trying it out, and it was awesome, apart from the thick black bezel between the monitors
Anyways i took a few pics and you can see them on picasa: https://picasaweb.google.com/10879259299...directlink Incase anyone wants to do this, for 30fps on xenoblade with 2by1 eyefinity you will need a 3570k OCd to around 4.2-4 (mines at 4.5) and also i would recommend atleast a radeon hd 7850 2GB (1GB wont cut it for eyefinity). I will be getting a third monitor soon but my 7850 can handle 3840X1080 and 4xAA so I reckon it should be able to handle 3x1 eyefinity and 2xAA. IR was at 3840x1080 Aspect Ratio was set to stretch (screws up GUI like hell in some games) Used OpenGL, seems to give a bit more performance and also the 2xAA is a nice option instead of 4xAA 01-21-2013, 03:58 AM
I know there is a texture replacement back for X360 controller icons...is there one for PS3 controllers? It'd make things easier...

so a new question, couln't find anything about it.
I got Xenoblade to work with my 360 controller. Everything is perfect except... the game won't register my "+", the menu won't open (I mapped it first on "start" and then on L.Thumb). strange enough, it works everywhere else, I can use the start button to skip movies, or alter the map. I can also use it on the "press any key" start screen. just in game, when you can run around, it won't do anything. Is there a fix for that? |
