Hi guys Have one question about Xenoblade and Dolphin.
Is it normal for me to have fps ranging from 18-30 on e5200@3.4ghz. Fps mostly drops in fights, even in small ones. Anyone with the same cpu willing to share his impressions ? Idle skipping helps a few frames, but emu crashes more often. Ty in advance... 01-26-2013, 06:12 AM
It should be mentioned in the OP that entire lighting effects will be missing unless you set EFB to Ram, which kind of sucks seeing how much of a slowdown it provides. For example you will not notice any of the yellow glow from the sunlight in High Entia castle.
also lighting effects are not properly emulated unless you set your internal resolution to Auto (Windows Size) I found a lot of this out on my own, however it's still an awesome emulator. Not everything can be perfect of course but that's life. 01-27-2013, 01:30 AM
The emulator should not crash at all. With 3.0-750 it was possible to play 30 hours or more without a single crash. I hope that dolphin is still as stable today.
Does anybody know a cheatcode or patch to enter this level with dolphin?

One easy way to test is to find a ore vein, or one of those crabs with the crystals. You can easily see that the bloom effect is misplaced, on the rock crab it will be on the outside of the crystals, and on the ore it will be an ugly blur. I really only noticed this problem in the cutscenes, for example when you first makes it up from inner bionis to the jungle area, that one particular scene is very blurry without the correct settings. 01-28-2013, 12:25 PM

I did play through the whole game with dolphin XBHLE patched version and can say that it looks different but not worse. There is absolutely no need to enable EFB -> RAM in my opinion.

I've been having issues with freezing at the Leone Telethia battle. I've attempted to get through the fight five times, but it always freezes after the midway battle point.
EDIT: I was able to get through by DISABLING "enable Dual Core". Was an extremely laggy battle, but it's over now. I'm on a fairy decent system too W7 x64 i5-2500k GeForce GTX 460 16g RAM Dolphin 3.5-269 |
