You need to run the game full-speed to avoid audio stuttering (because of new AX-HLE).

If you can run the game full-speed the sound will be almost perfect. The old audio patch is no more needed

I'm using the latest stable build and the sound is all screwed up even though the game is running at a constant 30 fps, what gives...

You have to use latest "Development versions" not "Stable versions". Sound issues have been fixed as of 3.5-1154

Thanks, I'll try that version then.

I have a question, has anyone been suffering freezes in xenoblade on 3.5 r1484?
I can usually play for about 20 mins, then the game freezes.
It doesn't do it on the old HLE hacked one, so i'm not sure what could be causing it.

You wouldn't be using OpenAL would you? For me, OpenAL causes freezing and hangs in a number of games, so I tend to avoid it (especially since I run most games fullspeed anyway). What was the last revision you remember working for you?

No, i use xaudio2 and dsound, happens on both.
The last one before this was the hle hacked one, though i do have 1307 and 1389 that i can try it on, so i'll check those and see if i can narrow it down.
EDIT:1389 does it for me, has anyone gotten it to run between 1389 and 1484?
I'm trying to see if it's a problem with the texture pack or the emulator, though the texture pack seems unlikely as again it runs on the hacked hle version perfectly.

I played it for a hour and a half yesterday on 3.5-1485 just fine. Perhaps you should post your settings here (if you haven't already in this thread). I also doubt that using a texture pack would be the issue but try disabling Custom Textures anyway; you never know.
