SSAA is broken, that's why your screenshots are full of jaggies.

If you use a higher Internal Resolution than your monitor, then the Internal Resolution will be downsampled to your monitor resolution.
You might notice less aliasing when looking at your monitor, but unless you use anti-aliasing, there will always be aliasing.

As for Dev1L's claims. There is a enormous difference between the window sized shot and the 4x IR shot.
Naturally the 4x IR shot has a lot more detail (compare Melia on both shots) and the textures are more detailed too. The lighting is exactly the same in both shots.
Using multipliers (x2, x3, x4) is recommended over using window size as it might break some post-processing effects and such.
Most of the time though, you should be fine with window size. (Make sure you use the multiples of *** option).

Yeah-yeah I know it all. But we talking about Xenoblade. I use x4 in most cases for all other games.

Just curious, why is Open MP off?

Also, if I dropped my IR to 3x, what would I find? More jaggies and less detail? I took some screenshots and didn't see too much difference, and I was wondering if it might help the fps in 8 mob fights. Its only 2-3 frame drops, but I wondered if it would help out.

Hmm I do feel like my fps is a tad better without that on. I checked my GPU/CPU and RAM usage and nothing is hitting 100% but I still get fps drop and sound crackling. Is there any tests I can do to find out what might be causing the fps drop?

You mean the slight dips you mentioned at 4x IR? Have you tried playing at 3x IR or lower? Also, when do these drops occur? I've noticed in battles, when I perform some attacks, it'll briefly drop down to ~25-27 (running NTSC version, so max is 30 FPS by default). It only occurs for a split second, never longer. I read somewhere that someone thought it could be due to the way the game generates shaders in Dolphin; once the attack causes the dip, it's gone and doesn't come back for a while or until I go to a different area.

I've used HLE audio when I OCed to 3.8GHz earlier this week, but I've yet to get these dips to go away. They're hardly noticeable, so I don't much care about them; I can only tell if they're there when I look at the FPS counter :p

Also, you could try enabling Idle Skipping. On older revisions (my trusted 3.0-416, for example) enabling Accurate VBeam emulation seems to be enough for me when doing the VBeam trick for LLE audio and reducing stuttering completely in HLE audio. Newer revisions seem to be a different story.

I know that; my 550 Ti can handle 4x as well. I'm trying to get him to validate that his dips are not GPU related. If they did go away when lowering IR, it would be strange. Additionally, rpglord and I myself have suggested that some points in certain games are too demanding for any GPU even at 1x IR (I called them temporary GPU bottlenecks, since they only occurred in certain spots); I'm curious if Xenoblade has any of them (I found at least 2 in SMG2 on the 2nd level). I get the feeling that isn't the case for Kendjin, but it's not going to hurt anyone to double-check.

The Ether Mines presented my first crash as soon as I entered. Went back in and its not crashing but I am getting a strange graphical error. All through the mines I notice what is black lines. Naturally they move around the screen and most of the time be centered on a character and reaching out towards the edge of the screen while getting wider.

Then I entered the big open area and its a wreck. Walls are in areas they shouldn't be and green or yellow. Textures are missing from the ground exposing what's underneath (glass floors).

On the plus side, not a single sound glitch yet.

I have this same problem Sad and it's VERY annoying.

The weird thing is, this is my second playthrough. No graphical glitches in the first playthrough at all (many sound ones, though).

Seriously, why it's this happening now? I had absolutely no problem in Ether Mines before. Any painless solution?
