Does it look correct if you use native internal resolution? Some effects like this don't work as intended with higher resolutions.

No, it's the same.
I also tried to change from OpenGL to Direct3D but no changes (native resolution or not). Oh, just in case : I tried with several versions of Dolphin without any changes. 01-09-2016, 08:57 AM

Playing Xenoblade Chronicles (PAL version) on my desktop. It was all good, except there was stuttering with the sound (in both HLE and LLE). But it has only been happening with the most recent developer build. The dev build from December 2015 was actually working perfectly well with the HLE audio. And as far as I'm aware, in the most recent article on Dolphin, it actually said to report about any HLE issues in the games, such as stuttering in games (since any altering of the code resulted in breaking other games).
And of course, I'm running Dolphin on OpenGL graphics setting, with native resolution setting. My GPU on the Desktop is NVIDIA GeForce GT 710, the CPU is Intel Core i5-4460 @ 3.20 GHz x4, running on Ubuntu 15.10, with 7.7 GiB of memory. 01-22-2016, 10:50 PM
Hello guys. I tried the game last summer and it ran quite fine, then I was very busy for many months.
Now I re-tried to play it, and I can't even figure out how to set gamepad instead of keyboard, and how to have the game in italian. Still runs in english, also if I set system language in italian. I use Dolphin version 5.0 rc5 back from summer. Is there a new version where the game runs better? Any particular suggestion on how to set one of the many emulator settings, to make the game runs fine?
My PC: 3570K @ 4.1 GHz, 8Gb DDR3 1600, GTX980, Win7 x64.

Where can I find latest development versions? Because I have a problem that I had also when I used Dolphin months ago. When I use Dolphin, after I have infinite shut down screen when I try to shut down PC.

Ok I have the game with hd texture pack and everything is working fine except that i cant get stable 30 fps, like 60% of the time i get 30 fps and it randomly dips to 20-30 and sometimes below 20 even though i have a beefy pc.
my pc specs: gtx 980ti intel i7-4790k 16gb ram. Im using the latest version of dolphin 4.0-8824 Using the us version of the game. and attached my setting for the game. 01-31-2016, 02:27 AM

Try reducing SSAA.
It's basically the same as Nvidia DSR resolutions (downsampling). I think it would be better to have Dolphin match Internal Resolution to Monitor resolution for downsampling (not via SSAA). I've not done any screenshot comparisons, so this is only based on the fact that Dolphin doesn't have a (decent?) downsampling filter. *edit* I have the same settings as you, except I use Per-Pixel Lighting and no SSAA (I found out forcing SGSSAA works with Nvidia Inspector, no compatibility flags needed.). I tried playing with all the other settings, and the game properties for things like Enable FPRF. No improvement to framerate beyond what you already got set. Although all hardware is not created equal, so feel free to experiment. */edit* I've only got an i5-2500k and a GTX 770 (4GB version) and you can see what I run at if you look at the last few pages of the Xenoblade HD Texture thread for my shader settings. Since Ishiiruka got the AA problems fixed, I'm not using FXAA anymore (hate it), and I'm playing around trying to balance forced SGSSAA and SSGI/SSAO quality for 30 fps stable at the intro battle (don't engage in battle with Dunban and crew, just walk and look around and you can find a spot that will drop your frames--worst performance spot in the game that I've seen SO FAR. 02-01-2016, 08:52 AM

If you are using the HD texture pack, try checking the prefetch custom texture box. It pre loads all the hd textures to ram. I used to have stuttering and this greatly reduced it. |
