Yes it is. If you happen to know of a better place to take this I'll go there.

Using Predictive FIFO with Ishiiruka solved all stutter issues for me. Didn't have to enable Full Async Shader Compilation.

Whenever I launch this game using any development version of Dolphin, it quickly crashes. It works fine on stable versions of Dolphin. Anyone know how to fix this, I really want to use the HD texture pack for it.

I've been trying to get this game working off and on for nearly a year.

My computer is fairly decent, 4770k that clocks up to 4.3 ghz. The graphics look and run excellently.

My problem is this - everything in the game seems to run very nicely, but I can't stand the sound, and I can't figure out how to fix it. I've probably tried over 50 combinations of settings to fix this problem, but to no avail.

Here's the issue: The sound doesn't cut out, but there is a constant "clicking". The more complex the music becomes, the more the clicking becomes obvious. It's right there from the title screen until my insanity causes me to quit out. The clicking is fairly rapid and consistent, and it's not causing the sound to stop - it just has a click click click click, maybe 3 or 4 per second that really interferes with my ability to enjoy the music. Here's what I've been working on:

I am using the stable build 4.0.

1. Enabling/disabling idle skipping
2. Enabling/disabling vbeam from within the ROM
3. Switching around the audio backend (which should I be using, anyways?)
4. DSP HLE/DSP LLE recompiler. DSP LLE interpreter is way too brutal.

I have a feeling I've probably just barely missed the perfect combination to get the music and game to sound just right. I'm sure it's possible - there are tons of youtube videos out there that play the game with fantastic sound.

My sound comes out of an ASUS MAXIMUS VI GENE motherboard.

Neither HLE nor LLE audio is very good in 4.0.2. Use the latest development build, as many audio improvements have been made since the stable version was released.

The stable build is old and should not be used anymore. Use the latest revisions, Xenoblade runs pretty good and the audio is excellent as long as your PC can handle it. Your PC is good so you will have no issue with the recent revisions.

After 155 hours of taking my sweet time and completing the main story and i'd say 95% of the side quests, i'm finally finished. The few that I missed were due to not quite understanding the games point-of-no-return for certain timed quests. To sum up my impressions of Xenoblade Chronicles... what an outstanding game! I still can't get over how much content there is when you include side quests. And most of all, it was able to keep me interested in all of it. A definite rarity these days.

I've got one gripe though...

does this site use spoiler tags?

/edit

Don't read the following if you haven't beaten the game...
Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
Excellent, it worked. Ok... my gripe is centered around Melia's love interest in Shulk, which was absolutely pointless considering he remained "blissfully unaware". The girl just lost her family, most of her species, and just when she's beginning to find some happiness in life, in comes robo-chick back from the dead and Shulk turns into her puppy dog. Talk about getting screwed over! lol. I think it would have been better had they permanently killed Fiora off near the end of the game, sacrificing herself and her failing body to save everyone one last time.

RRRrrrr... man that pi$$es me off!! I just did a rather large write-up on getting the best possible image quality in Xenoblade including the use of hidden graphics settings in changed using nVidia Inspector (it's a 3rd party tool) and when I clicked "add attachment" it took me to an upload page (most sites load a pop-up), and when I got back to my post IT WAS GONE!!!!

Sorry... i'll try and re-do it later when I'm not so aggravated.

For the time being, here's how it looks at 4x Native, 3840x2400 output, 4x nVidia DSR 15% smoothing, 16xAF, downsampled to 1920x1200, and a few other settings i can't remember at the moment.

edit\ Had to use a different image host in order to use a thumbnail so I wouldn't screw the page up.
