After full immersion testing I can confirm it: for me freezes are completely random when I don't have a second player controller "active" in game...in this case I get random freezes every let's say 2 to 4 finished minigames; with a second player controller "active" in game I don't get anymore freezes, even trying 1000 times...

Hi dephined, busy days here.. hehe.
Tried today even with r6799 and in my case the freezes occur no matter if I have 1, 2 real wiimotes + an emulated, 1+ an emulated. The thing is. I play any of the " big" games, and all the minigames inside play perfectly well. The thing is, when the main game finishes... it crashes! If I only try to play a single minigame from the main menu instead of a big game, no matter which one I choose, it crashes at the end. I'll tell you my options configurations, maybe you can see something there... General: -Enable cheats Framelimit: OFF JIT Recompiler (tried the experimental and same thing) Direct3D9: -Load Native Mipmaps -EFB Scaled Copy EFB: -Enable CPU Access / Copy->RAM Accurate texture Cache: Normal Advanced: -Disable Fog, Dest. Alpha Pass -XFB: Virtual -Enable OpenCL DSP-HLE: -Enable Audio Throttle (for the speed limit) -Audio Backend: DSound I'm playing in a laptop, plugged to a nice monitor. Lap: Core2Duo P7450 (2.13GHz) / 4GB Ram / Gforce GTX260M /Win7 64bit. As far as I understand, I'm OK with this specs. for most of the games... Well, that's all. It' s a pity I cannot get this cool game to play well, maybe if you see something I can tweak, that could make it work! Thanks for your help once again dephined! 01-11-2011, 07:29 AM
I would suggest to try the OpenGL plugin, because I've tested the game only with it (anyway for me is almost always faster than DX9)

Crashes ALWAYS I don't know what to do to provide more information or if I should open a bug report about this. What I can tell is that the cooler of the video card spins up like crazy in the exact moment the game is about to crash. And that is the screen with the mii character and the VICTORY or YOU LOOSE sign, and over the right down corner, the " press A". As soon as I press A, the character goes down and game freezes (music keeps going). This is after any minigame or the end of a longer game. I tried to display the "various statistics" option in the advanced tab of video options, but I don' t see anything blowing for that moment. Anyway... thanks for all your dedicated help! 01-11-2011, 08:16 PM
there's a kinda workaround for that freeze...just select a second wiimote in the wiimote settings...just put it to emulated. strangly, it doesn't freeze anymore that way.

Hi there! Yup, I knew that. But for me that doesn't work. I've been trying with a real + an emulated, 2 real wiimotes, 2real + 1emulated, 2emulated... nothing! At the very beginning I was able to get it working for a couple of times and the thing is that I don't remember any more the settings I tried by that time ...so many back & forth! 01-12-2011, 02:12 AM
Try to activate all the four Wiimotes...other than that I don't know what else to say, I've tested it mainly with the game of the barrels that are dropped over your head (because it's the faster game for testing)...maybe in other games has still problems even with more controllers activated...I'll continue testing.
I can only post my config: General: - don't Enable cheats Framelimit: ON JIT Recompiler OpenGL: - don't Load Native Mipmaps -EFB Scaled Copy EFB: - don't Enable CPU Access / Copy->textures Accurate texture Cache: disabled Advanced: - don't Disable Fog - No XFB - don't Enable OpenCL DSP-HLE: -Enable Audio Throttle -Audio Backend: DSound 08-30-2011, 02:33 AM

Hello, i have 7716... zelda, mario galaxy, golden eye ... run perfect... but wii party only play maximun 10 minutes and crash.
I am reading setting config that you suggest... but not appear in my version. Plase you can help me... 08-30-2011, 03:22 AM
They don't appear because you use a defferent revision (the one you mentioned has the texcache rewrite) and you need to enable a second wiimote to avoid the crashes

I think he doesn't mean those freezes after a minigame but rather the random crashes which are rather often in this game. This thread tells you more about it http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=17598
It also tells you to use a revision prior to r7185 because that was the big FIFO commit which introduced those damn random crashes which are still there.
