Running on dolphin build dolphin-master-5.0-5698-x64
Game is crashing whenever I go to "Wii Fit Plus Menu" -> "Start My Routine" The initial training video will pop up but when I go to "Try It" or wait for it to finish the game crashes no matter which exercise I have picked. Enabled panic handlers, getting this error. [Window Title] Warning [Content] Invalid write to 0x000000e0, PC = 0x801f45d0 [OK] and then this error: [Window Title] Warning [Content] Invalid read from 0x00000000, PC = 0x80205654 [OK] SPECS: 980TI 6700K 16GB RAM DOLPHIN SETTINGS Using no hacks, texture cache furthest to right for safe. XFB set to virtual. Tried with and without ubershaders same result. Tried with and without bluetooth passthrough, same result. 10-25-2017, 07:51 PM
Turning off dualcore seems to fix this issue, obviously this isn't ideal though.

Why not? You have a 6700k, which can run pretty much everything in Dolphin even in single core.
Dual core is known to be unstable. With such a powerful CPU, just stick to single core and enjoy the stability. 04-07-2019, 02:45 AM

Confirmed on 5.0-9888 rhythm parade was hanging at white screen disable dual-core fixed it this shoudl be added to the wiki https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?t...i_Fit_Plus 01-07-2021, 01:05 AM
A lot of minigames hang on the white screen after showing a dozen of "Invalid read" messages on both latest beta version 5.0-13178 and latest dev version 5.0-13452. Disabling dual-core does not help.
List of minigames that crash the game:

Another bug I encountered: if you get a highscore, mii's face will disappear on the leaderboard. Can be fixed by enabling "Store EFB copies to Texture Only"
"Store EFB copies to Texture Only" disabled "Store EFB copies to Texture Only" enabled By the way, it's kinda weird how Dolphin wiki now says that disabling dual-core doesn't fix Rhythm Parade hanging with the white screen... But in the next paragraph it says that you can fix this issue by disabling dual-core :/ 01-09-2021, 08:12 AM
I also found out that enabling "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" stops all of the above mentioned games from crashing (except for Rhythm parade, but it can be fixed by disabling dual-core)

Good finds! I'll put the following into my user ini for the game, so I won't have those issues:
[Core] CPUThread = False [Video_Hacks] EFBToTextureEnable = False
Intel i5-4690k (Devil's Canyon) @ 3.5 GHz (+Scythe Mugen) / Gainward GTX 1070 Phoenix (OC'd) / ASUS Z97 PRO GAMER / 16GB G.Skill DDR3-2400 CL10 TridentX / X-Fi XtremeMusic / Win10 Pro 64bit / Dell S2716DG Monitor / 3x original WiiMote+MotionPlus+Nunchuk

I've tried to update the wiki page to align. Let us know if there is anything wrong with what's there now. These particular issues are annoying, as we need "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" disabled to fix issues with Mii Faces and various graphs; so you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Though I'd guess keeping the mini-games playable is more critical to most people. |
