Did you try holding it down for a moment? I remember someone mentioning it before.

edit: nevermind, I just tried myself and it doesn't work. Using a real Wiimote works fine.

I found a way to get this to work. using r6505 and emulated wii-mote assign the shake x, y, and z to the L1, R1, and R2 buttons. then assign your two analog sticks to the appropriate areas of "swing" and "tilt" - not IR remote (or you can double one as IR Remote too - doesn't matter for this). using the sticks you can now hold the ball and open the doors where you have to aim and throw it. to get shake to work can be a bit trickier but usually works by the 2nd or 3rd try - to do it hold down L1 then quickly press (and hold) R1 or R2 if you assigned them the way i said - it should do the super shake. i'm up to world 2 now with no problems. hope that helps. enjoy.
