I want to try the Bluetooth Passthrough method and I figure if I do it I might as well grab a Wii Remote Plus. Upon searching I found the Wii U Remote Plus. Is that compatible with Dolphin using the Bluetooth Passthrough method? Also, is there an in-depth guide for altering the Wii U Remote Plus to have Bluetooth Passthrough? Im trying to go with the best of the best options so I do not have any issues and receive the best performance.

Yes, it's compatible with Bluetooth passthrough. A Wii U Remote Plus is the same thing as a Wii Remote Plus, just with a different label.

Thanks for the information.Im considering getting an EVGA H370 Stinger that has Intel AC9560 WiFi/BT 4.2(Intel i219V Gigabit NIC + WiFi - 802.11 AC Dual-Band + Bluetooth 4.2) That counts as the adapter right, because I do not see it listed here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?t...assthrough I do see the Wii Bluetooth Module listed with two different models, is that something I can pull out of my wii by opening it up. I'm really good with electronics, soldering, and such. Then the Wii U Remote Plus wirelessly connects through the Bluetooth and all I need to do is follow the steps in the wiki right? No other hardware and no physical modifications? Where does the motion sensor from my wii console connect to? 04-24-2018, 03:46 PM
I don't have the answer to all your questions, but:

No other hardware and no physical modifications? Yes, that's right. As long as you already have a working Bluetooth adapter, Bluetooth passthrough doesn't require any extra hardware or hardware modifications, it only requires you to modify the software on your PC a bit. But it's important that you have one, otherwise games that use the Wii Remote as a pointer won't work.) If you want to, you can take the sensor bar that came with your Wii and have it connected to your Wii while playing on your PC, or you can buy a third-party sensor bar that's powered by USB or batteries. (But don't buy a Mayflash DolphinBar, it's a special device that expects you to use its built-in Bluetooth adapter that doesn't support Bluetooth passthrough at all.) |
