I saw it mentioned in another thread that getting the analog sticks of the WUPC to work properly in OS X takes some work.

Something I've noticed without knowing how to get it working 'properly' is that they seem to be not quite as sensitive as they should be for use as a gamecube controller in Dolphin, resulting in never getting to "full" input. I can kinda get it to work by AND-ing the input to itself but then the whole thing becomes hypersensitive and there's no fine control.

Is there more I can do to get the input to behave the way I want? I'm not sure of all the options but it seems that anything I try doesn't quite work.

Here, have my config for it. http://cl.ly/RMwN Put it in ~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Config/Profiles/GCPad/, then choose it in the GCPad window's Profile picker, click Load, then change the device to the "Input/0/Wiimote (bl-ah-bl-ah-bl-ah)" that's in your Devices list (since your WUPC'll have a different MAC address than mine).

If you want to do it manually, just look at these lines and try to reproduce them as closely as possible. Right-click the button for each stick direction in the GCPad window and either paste in the stuff after the = or recreate it within the UI.

Main Stick/Dead Zone = 20.000000
Main Stick/Up = `Axis Y-`+`Axis Y+-`
Main Stick/Down = `Axis Y+`+`Axis Y-+`
Main Stick/Left = `Axis X-`+`Axis X+-`
Main Stick/Right = `Axis X+`+`Axis X-+`

C-Stick/Dead Zone = 20.000000
C-Stick/Up = `Axis Rx-`+`Axis Rx+-`
C-Stick/Down = `Axis Rx+`+`Axis Rx-+`
C-Stick/Left = `Axis Z-`+`Axis Z+-`
C-Stick/Right = `Axis Z+`+`Axis Z-+`

This "-" + "+-" trick will get the sticks to a point where all directions are pretty much equal and the range is adequate/playable, but if it still doesn't seem to cover the entire range of a normal GCPad's sticks, adjust the Radius until it feels right. The dead zone may also be a bit high (or low?), adjust as needed until the sticks snap back to center without leaving a red dot in the stick live-view thing.

Related: I'm the guy that originally said it was difficult. I think I might be the only user here who uses a WUPC for games and has talked about it.
