It needs both ports if you want to use it at its fullest - four controllers with rumble enabled. (I can't remember exactly what happens when you don't have the gray one plugged in, though... Does it just disable rumble?)

You literally had your question answered? The second USB port is for more power when using 3/4 controllers. The adapter won't do rumble if you have multiple controllers and one port plugged in.

I just don't get what's here to bump.
