I have to assume no one would know anything about this game, or this is nothing, but I noticed something I haven't been able to find any info on so here I am.
First of all, everything seems slightly fuzzy or lower res. I thought the internal resolution wasn't taking effect, but it is, so I thought this was just how the textures were or something. But then I noticed that during gameplay, any time a distortion filter/effect is applied to the screen (passing through slalom time gates, trick level slow motion) that everything becomes much more clear. It's like the initial haze is lifted, and the scaled internal resolution is definitely active. It becomes quite jarring shifting back and forth during slalom levels. From what I can tell from YouTube footage this is normal, but I'm not sure why it does this in the first place. I've attached some screenshots: Normal gameplay: During slalom gate/slow motion: |
