BEWARE of possible spoilers.

I tried spoiler tags
Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
but they don't seem to work.

Anyway here's the thing.
At Skyloft, some point in the game you get a side quest with a missing baby rattle from the husband Bertie at the potion shop.
The rattle is located at the top of a birds nest, I know how to get there via the hint movies shown by the Shiek Stone at the sparring hall.

You're supposed to leap of the top where the floating waterfall is and tilt the Wiimote forward towards the nest.
Every time I do this I somehow get blown away by the wind.

The hint movie makes it look so easy.

Anyone here know a good tip?

I'm doing some side quests between the main story.

YES I finally got the rattle......giggity giggity goo

I ran the game and it runs around 90% speed most of the time after tweaking lots of settings but it's still not really playable IMO.

I found a desktop for $600 but I can't justify spending the money just on a desktop for Wii.

Is there a chance if I wait a month or so that the newer versions of Dolphin will be able to play this game more smoothly?

Also, does anyone have a computer similar to mine that is running Skyward Sword at full speed? I'd love to see what settings you are using.
Same here the only difference is the gpu that is a 5770 on my laptop!cant get better than 2x native res at 20-25 fps my desktop e8200@3.6 does even worst getting less that 20 fps!
the only way its playable its with dolphin 3.0 but with that you have that weird slashing on texture

So the latest 3.0 works for you though? Perhaps we'll just have to wait until this game is fully compatible with the latest versions...shouldn't be too long.

3.0 is a lot faster than the older revisions most people are using. Those with less powerful computers should use 3.0 if they need an FPS boost. Although as made clear already, 3.0 comes with a host of graphical problems. DirectX11 should be used with 3.0 for the least amount of graphical issues, and DirectX9 should be used with the pre-3.0 revisions such as 7719.

3.0 = More frames, glitchy graphics
Pre-3.0 = Less frames, near-perfect emulation

If your computer is strong enough, you should be using the pre-3.0 revisions such as 7719 so you can get the near perfect emulation and while still maintaining max FPS.

Man, this has been talked billion times already. I understand it can be pain in the ass to read all 80 pages, but at least read the first page. It's all there. Smile
