I actually found the source of my old issue. As it turns out, this glitch doesn't appear when running in OGL. D3D and Vulkan are the only two settings with this issue.

Hello all!
I just recently started emulating... and I am having some controller issues. I have an Xbox 360 controller, and I have been trying to play this game but to literally no avail. No matter what I do, even using the emulator wii remote, and whenever I hit the attack/action button in game... it only brings up the menu. Here are my settings: https://i.imgur.com/yK6zSR3.png https://i.imgur.com/RayfQZi.png https://i.imgur.com/hHaRU4r.png I would appreciate and all help if possible... I just don't know what I am doing wrong :C. 05-23-2019, 12:26 PM
@Serennia, the one thing that jumps out to me immediately is that you've bound your controller's Left Trigger to two different actions. In your third screen shot, your controller's Left Trigger is bound to both ZL and HOME, which would bring up the home menu. So, just bind HOME to a different controller button, like one of the analog stick buttons, or bind it to a keyboard button, or just clear the input if you don't want to trigger the Home menu at all.

I just want to say thank you very much for pointing out an erroneous way I have set up a controller... However, the issue I have encountered is that I may or may not be an idiot >.<. I never actually read into the instructions far enough to realize... that... well, um... the attack was auto... and not manual. Ahem, yes, very well. Thank you so much >.<, I am sure I will be back as I am brand new and will have some issues, I am sure! 04-10-2020, 06:26 AM
So just for anyone that's still around here playing this, have any of you got it running stutter free? I feel like I've tried every single tutorial out there and I just can't get it to run at a steady framerate. There always seems to be audio stutter that I can't fix with latency. I've tried using DX12, DX11 and Vulkan but the game seems to run about the same with minimal difference and the same issue. I'm using the latest build (5.0-11832). I've tried both ubershader options with little to no difference. I've even tried the Ishiiruka build and that somehow ran worse. My specs are;
Gtx 1060 6GB Ryzen 1700x 16GB DDR4 Any suggestions? (Lowering the resolution doesn't really make a difference either) 04-10-2020, 06:37 AM

Is this an issue with the performance? If you run it without framerate limit (hold down TAB), how fast does it go where the audio stutters? I think the game should run fine with dual core mode. It's one of the more demanding games, but it should run fine on a Ryzen cpu.

It seems to stutter around 24 fps, though I'm suspecting it might be my harddrive, so I'm switching to my sdd real quick to check if there's any difference. Ok, so it's a performance issue. Harddrive or SSD shouldn't matter. If you want to make sure the storage device is not the problem, create a RAM drive and copy the game there. Like i said, the game should run fine in dual core mode. If you are not doing so already, you should get a 50-100% boost. For a further ~30% boost, you could enable efb copies to texture only after the game has loaded the clothes. The best way to do that is to create a hotkey for "Toggle EFB Copies", and use it when you loaded the savegame and you see your character. Remember to switch it, when recoloring your clothes. (edit: I forgot about defer EFB Copies to RAM, which gives you most of the boost already) If the game is still not running well above full speed, you should post all your settings. I was expecting the AMD Ryzen 1700x to be on the same level or above my Intel i5 4670K, which runs the game above full speed in single core mode(at least from my quick testing). |
