Okay so during my single core testing it turned out that more that just fast forwarding can cause the FMVs to lose audio. It seems that it is very finicky when it comes to actually having audio in HLE regardless of using dual/single core, it seemed that audio only played when I avoided pressing any button unless I absolutely had to and even then sometimes not working which seems odd since I had it working reliably yesterday.

there are two types of fmv in the game.are you talking about the cinematics or the dialogue scenes(which is more common, and can be fast forwarded).the cinematics sometimes start with no audio,

I'm talking about the cinematics I know about the normal dialogue scenes having no audio while fast forwarding.

Can you please narrow down when the behavior changed then? If we don't know when the behavior changed, then it's very hard to fix something like this.

So I properly bisected it this time and it seems the HLE audio actually broke in 4.0-2368.

d3d renderer also has issues with the wall textures in the sewer level to get the medicine for warren. OpenGL does not have this issue.
