Yeah, DX11 is usually slower than DX9.

Here are my settings that I got the game to work perfect, no skipping, no audio problems, some slowdown in large open area and the city's but no settings can fix that. I will only list the items that are checked.
Config/General: Enable Dual Core, JIT Recompiler Config/Audio: DSP HLE emulation (fast), Xaudio2 48000 Config/Wii: Use EuRGB60 Mode, Aspect Ratio 4:3 (My Monitor is not wide screen) Graphics/General: Direct 3D9, Show FPS, Render to Main Window Graphics/Enhancements: Auto (Multiple of 640x528), AA=None, Filtering = 1x, Scaled EFB copy (You can play with the AA and filtering but I don't like it since it seems to blur the graphics a little bit.) Graphics/Hacks: EFB Copies = Ram, Texture Cache = Safe, External Frame Buffer = Disabled, Disable Per-Pixel Depth, OpenCL Texture Decoder, OpenMP Texture Decoder. (You can play with the settings, but I find OpenCL and OpenMP are important to eliminate the stutter effect of FMV.) 01-01-2013, 02:19 AM
I have been having a terrible time with tls. I can't get above 15 fps in battle and I only get maybe 20 fps everywhere else. I have tried a few different builds and fooled around with about every single option. Even if I play the game on native resolution with no enhancements, it still runs terribly. I have an asus g73jh-bst7 laptop, I'm pretty sure I should be able to run this game pretty well.

Your i7 clock speed is too slow . Most games won't run full speed on your CPU
TLS is the most demanding game . You'll need sth like i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) :: 01-04-2013, 12:26 PM
well i think il give up trying to run this game on efb copy to ram..to slow.. insted just gona use the hotkeys to switch when loading screens apear.or save custom costums and just load them when needed in game to fix the no textures on charictors..bit of pain but its better.. i can run this game now with pritty much constant 30fps in town using dx9 IR 4 anistrophy 16 (not that i can see any dif with this) 4 masa at 1920 x 1080 .amazing how demanding this game is ..its taken me ages to get this right. and no doubt il run into problems later in the game..but at least i can play it now

iGPU ? Intel HD 4000 ? It's an integrated GPU which is built inside CPU chip
That garbage can't even handle 1x IR on demanding games . You could do crossfire with iGPU if your CPU was AMD Trinity/ Llano . Dolphin only use 1 GPU which is your 7970 anyway Depending on your Ram speed ( 800-1333-1600-2xxxMHz) , "EFB copies to Ram" will perform like 1-2 FPS faster (not worth for money) Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) :: (01-05-2013, 09:50 PM)admin89 Wrote: iGPU ? When you plug your graphic card in , your graphic card will be set as default GPU and Intel HD 4000 will be disabled automatically
