Well last time I tested it, both "vbeam speed hack" and disabling idle skipping provided speedups for me, you can try both, or just one and then the other and see what works for you

Edit2: FPS went up to 16 and VPS is sitting at 40-69%(Have no clue what that is...) There's a bit of a static sound here and there...and the game feels sluggish still almost like something is slowing the game itself, not just the FPS but something else like there's a game speed modifier that is in need of modification...or at least the option there of...like with idle skipping on the intro music is hella fast but once I get to the actual menu, it goes at a (what I'd assume is...) normal pace and the game is sluggish...response is manageable, but still borderline slow motion... *Shrugs.* 06-07-2013, 07:48 AM
Is there any other success at running this well?
I have an i5 3570k @ 4.2 (best I can do without increasing the core voltage, something I dont want to bother with) and an HD4890. I never see my GPU maxed out except on high IR such as the meteor shower tower thing. I don't so much care about crackly audio but the rampant 18-24 fps everywhere gets on my nerves. Usually, it's my GPU that gets overtaxed resulting in me lowering my resolution or putting it on "software mode" in emulated games such as with PCSX2, but this game...even Xenoblade ran better than this on a worse system. Putting IR low changes nothing. One or two options seem to change my fps by 1-5, an almost negligible amount. I tried putting window size low, That didn't seem to change anything either. There is of course the weird texture issues, which causes me to save and reload my game to fix it. Only thing that seems to help is putting it on VBeam and turning off idle skipping and making sure dual core is forced (though I wish It would use more cores of my cpu...) Have I tried everything and this is just that outlier? 06-07-2013, 09:43 AM
Yes, it's slow for everybody - including the people playing this game on their consoles. I have a i7-2600k @ 4.5Ghz and I was getting 17fps in parts of the game. I played this game on an older version of Dolphin so I had the occasional freeze too. Still completed the whole thing on Dolphin. Great game.

Even with LLE audio, it isn't as demanding. People used to say you needed to OC to 4.2~4.4GHz but that was an overblown number. TLS is beastly on the other hand, and like skid said, it will bring a real Wii to its knees at certain points. 06-09-2013, 08:53 AM
Currently im running on
AMD Fx 8120 4.1ghz 2257 GTX 560 Ti 1gb 8gb ram Win7x64 Yes i know that it would run better on an intel processor, but i dont have that option so my question is, what would be the optimal settings that i can run this game on and which revision would be best? also what kind of performance would i be looking at? would setting locking my affinity to a certain amount of cores help? id say i have around 24-25 fps average. 18-22 in towns. bright lights seem to hurt my fps also 06-09-2013, 10:04 AM

Quote:AMD Fx 8120 4.1ghzYour PC has the same FPS as my laptop (1600x1320 Internal res) I think your PC should do a bit better than that Did you tick Vbeam speed hack and untick Idle Skipping ? (Right-click the game - Properties) Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) :: 06-09-2013, 10:46 AM
