Disabling Idle Skipping is not recommended. If the cinematics are too fast, just set the Framelimit to "Auto". Change it back to "Off" when the cinemtacis are over. Easy Smile

I dont think anybody has problem when something is too fast, only too slow Smile
Cinematics in this game,if not running fullspeed, will have skipping audio with HLE,pretty much very similair to when LLE is not running fullspeed.
Only way to solve this is to disable idle skipping, because unlike in other games, where disabling it slow down the game, here it provides 50% speedup in cinematics, fixing the skipping sound, while NOT slowing down the rest of the game
So,bottom line, idle skipping should be disabled in this game, and it is ( should be ) recomended setting for this game

I have a few problems with this game;

1. Sound can be funky at times.

2. I get this weird, after-image glow effects at times.

3. After the first boss, I get stuck at loading. I used the Wiki's settings, but no go.

Thanks.

Yeah,I forgot about this. I dont think 3.0 can be used for this game, either jit or jitil will freeze.
I think some work was done with fifobusy ? That fixes the freezing.
If fifobusy was merged into master, then thats lowest revision which should be used ( I dont think before 3.0-4xx )

EDIT : Found it !
Dolphin 3.0-435 is the lowest version which should be used. 3.0 is not recomended.

EDIT 2 : Actually it was a branch version.
Lowest master version which should be used is 3.0-484

Thanks rpglord, will update it now.
I can only find x86/x64 builds of it, let me know if you find a Mac build somewhere.

Lowest I could find for mac is 3.0-584...
http:// shall not be named/download.html?list=7
BTW why did you put 3.0-433 version ?
3.0-484 is best, its when fifobusy work was merged into master.

Also,update recomended recomplier to jit.
Work was done to both jit and jitil, using jitil will only slow down the game, nothing alse

I linked 3.0-433 because that's what you linked to before you edited your post.

Really? Give me a sec to check it then I'll update both JIT and Idle Skipping if it works.

Freezing was first fixed in jit, then later just added to jitil too.So yeah, there is no point in using jitil with fifobusy versions.
Using jitil in 3.0 did freeze a little less. ( before fifobusy fixes ).
Idle skipping disabled should speedup cinematics in game, without any negative effects ( it does not slow down the rest of the game )

Playing this game with idle skipping enabled and with jitil recompiler sounds like a nightmare Smile
I dont think even your i5 2500k at 4.5ghz can provide fullspeed in the city,am I right ?
With jit and idle skipping disabled it might Smile

Believe it or not, I beat the game with both idle skipping and JITIL enabled with 6505.
Dropped rarely below 30, with 25 or so being the lowest, but that's during insane battles with everyone flying all over the place.

Yeah, I can run at fullspeed in the city with 6505, idle skipping and JITIL. Not sure about the newest versions. I should test.

Oh, I just tried to disable idle skipping, and I lost a lot of speed.
Having it enabled gives me ~x3 as much speed compared to having it disabled.

Not sure about the JIT fixes, but it's enabled by default. I'll add "Should you experience freezes, etc, enable JITIL" for JITIL instead.
Sound good?

Yeah, newest versions are a lot slower. I could get similiar results with my i5 2400 with 6505.
I also used that version to finish the game, newest were unplayble on my system ( for example 27 fps in the city in 6505 versus 18 fps in past 3.0 revisions )
I think its actually gotten better in latest revisions, maybe we should recomend that Smile
I remember getting 18 fps for a lot of time,in latest I get 22-23 fps in the city
As for idle skipping,I dont get single fps drop with it disabled.
Did you try cinematics ? I get 20 fps with it enabled ( and sound stutters ) and I get 30 fps with it disabled and sound is fine in cinematics.
Not all cinematics are demanding though. Some run fine with whatever settings. For example, demanding one is when they first enter the city and title of the game is wrriten.
Also, make sure you test this in latest revisions, not 6505. I didnt test that, who cares about that Smile
I am looking for best settings in newest revisions.
Yeah, you should definitely edit jitil recomndations to not be only recomnded option, since I am pretty sure game doesnt hang/freeze in jit anymore
