Is it slowdown or is it literally half speed? Try disabling cheats or something along those lines.

Don't have any cheats on. Emulation is at 100%, but the game runs consistently at half speed with no fluctuation.

V-Sync isn't the issue, I've checked.

Okay I figured it out. There was some dumb "120 FPS" AR code on. It must have been on by default, because I didn't ever add it, let alone turn it on. Everything works fine now.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem before... then again I haven't found any mention of it in the forums. Or anywhere else for that matter.
Case is, Real XFB always, and I mean ALWAYS, seems to reduce the internal resolution back to 1x for me. I'm not really sure what's happening, but XFB works perfectly fine in every game except this one, where it makes the entire game look pixelated, as if it was on 1x resolution. But I kinda need RealXFB to be enabled for Classic to work properly. (and i'm really used to playing at 3x at this point, so going back to 1x feels just... wrong)

My specs are:
Intel i5-6500 CPU @3.20GHz (Quad-Core)
NVidia GeForce GTX 970 GPU
Windows 7 Ultimate, x64
Playing on Dolphin 5.0-254, DirectX11 (OpenGL made no difference)

Curiously, changing antialiasing or any other graphical setting WHILE the game is running makes it look perfectly fine, 3x resolution again. But when the Classic mode results show up, instead of the green square (which happens when xfb is disabled) or the normal screenshot (shown when it works properly), there's an image of whatever was on screen at the time of changing the setting. And when I restart the game, it's pixelated again.
Any idea what's going on? Might be my GPU, might be my version of Dolphin (even though I've been having this error since back on 4.2-whatever, when I first got the emulator).
Also I'm playing on the PAL version of the game. Not sure if it's related in any way, but it might be.

EDIT: I've already fiddled around with the graphic and per-game settings, by the way. None of the settings I tried made any difference as long as XFB was on.

That's just how real XFB works. It always scales down the image to native resolution. Virtual XFB doesn't have that problem, but as you know, SSBB needs real XFB for the results screen. There will most likely be improvements to this in the future, but this is how it is for now.

...Oh. I'm pretty sure I used XFB in other games and it worked just fine. Or maybe it was VirtualXFB, I don't really remember by now.
Now I'm curious about that other glitch I mentioned though. How does changing the graphics settings cause... that to happen?

Opening the graphics settings while the game is running overrides the .ini settings and causes the settings to match whatever is checked in the graphics config. Don't do it.

I have the latest version of Dolphin (5.0). After I downloaded the Brawl iso through my rip and opened it, my screen turns to black whenever it's trying to load. I kept trying to boot it up, but it keeps leaving me on the black screen (This is on Mac OS X El Capitan by the way). Any reason why this is happening?
