his there any emulator that make this game possible to play without any problem...minor speed issues ofcourse. Please if someone has finish it in the same emulator, please do tell what revison did it use?

I am having the exact same problem. Even stranger I could jump on him at one time, but then i tried to change character from peach and then it woulden't work anymore. Very strange.

Edit: could someone supply a save from right after Francis is defeated? Would make me very happy.

I am having this problem as well. I have tried pretty much ever way I could think off to damage him, but nothing works. I ever tried grabing him with thoreau and holding him beneath the slow-falling catbombs, however, mysteriously, the catbombs get damaged by his body but he suffers nothing (only the catbombs let out the damage stars). Thats the closest I got from damaging him since I think its the only ocasion anything actually collided with him.

Tomorrow I think im gonna try using damage-causing items... If that works, I will probaly have to spend all my money on it =)

Instead of actually doing that, I experimented using an old revision I had (4771). In this revision I was able to damage Francis, but only then I hit him in the very tip of his nose. His hitzone seens oddly small, so I suspect its still not perfect, but it was enough to pass him =) Also, then I touched him I would sometimes get hurt, this didnt happen in the newer version I normally use.

Note: Something is bugging me though. Im under the impression that initially I couldnt damage him, but became able to do so after lifting him and jumping at the meow bombs in a way that made him collide against then with his nose. Im not sure if afteryards I could jump at him due to now knowing exactly where to hit, or if because I had somehow "enabled" his hitbox with my previous move. So, whoever has this problem and doesnt want to try and older revision can give a shot at hitting a bomb right on his nose in the beggining of the fight.

how do i stop the butterfly zooming in thing (at the start) from occuring? It wont let me play unless i hold a button down and then if i let it go, the circle comes back up and ofcourse i cant play. Any help with this? I have keyboard and a ps3 controller, what is the best button configuration for me and what buttons do i need to play? Thanks

Super Paper Mario can be considered un-playable due to a bug where you buy something,and you cant move anymore.
