with revision 5553, SMG 2 has been working without any flaw (alright, some black dots ) and with sound. i am using the opengl display though. D3d and OGL were working at same speed and same graphical glitch. i have done lots of worlds by now and no error till now. kudos to devs. love you guys . but yeah the speed is...

what, you're not having those freezes with the big star everyone else is talking about? or have you used the patch in that revision?

Hmm... Just tried 5555 from mamario but I still get the crash while transitioning into world 2.
Could anyone please upload the patched binaries onto mediafire? Thank you! 06-01-2010, 12:28 AM

Mediafire didn't work for me. These files were uploaded without the permisson of Dunge and therefore he should not be held responsible for any illegal use of them. I am completly responsible. Just copy them in the folder with any Rev(I think it works with any rev), but it will overwrite several files and therefore reset your rev to the 4*** state. I just copied my rev in another folder and replaced the files with the files from the rar-file. So everytime you finish a world you should do a quick save and copy the savestates folder into the 2nd dolphin directory with the patch files. There you load the state and play till the point it saves and copy the new savestates to your original Dolphin folder. Rev 5555 doesn't fix the problem by the way! Anyone who has a similar system(E8400, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD4850) and solid FPS can post his Direct3D settings? 06-01-2010, 12:44 AM
beat the game w/ 120 stars. dolphin worked pretty well. i just remembered to keep an old rev for those grand stars, and everything else worked fine.

You should be from the future to be able to play SMG2 with sound and without crashing. Ok, just kidding, I hope that's true. 06-01-2010, 12:48 AM

He's bullshitting, the game still has black screen crashes/freezes after the big bosses and collecting the grand star, also music still stops after a few minutes. There is also nothing that has been committed to the svn repository that suggests any of these issues being fixed.
have u ppl tried this
