I'm about to build a new machine expressly with the intent of playing through SMG2 amongst other things.

I would like it to run at full speed all the way through with audio.

Can someone answer definitively if the i5 3750k is more than enough, or would I be better off investing in an i7 3770?

The i5-3750k is more than enough, if you overlock it to 4.1/4.2GHz. All games should run nearly at fullspeed.

Hi guys!

I have recently began using LLE dsp and vbeam enabled and have 98-100% speed with this game on my core i5 750@3.8.
The game runs almost perfect now, but there is one problem.
The game began to completely freeze randomly with this LLE dsp. (the game but not the dolphin, so you can just press - stop and then start or just use load savestate). Sometimes it takes 2 - 3 minutes until total freeze sometimes it is 15 - 20 minutes.
--!!--
There were a few people that talked about the same problem a few pages ago but nobody responded.
--!!--
I have tried 3.0-601 and 3.0-716 versions - all the same.
When I change dsp from LLE to HLE the freezes disappear, so it seems to be something to do with LLE dsp. I've tried to change other options but it doesn't help.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem with total random freezes??

I have tried 2 different LLE's, my own and "Legal GC/WII DSP IROM replacement (v0.1)" dsp that I've downloaded from this forum. All the same.

Having LLE on thread enabled can cause that in both of the SMG games. That said, I haven't encountered a random freeze in a long while.

Thank you for reply!
I've disabled LLE on thread and now there are no freezes, but the game speed fell by 40% and now it's approx. 60-70%.
Why does it happen with LLE on thread enabled? maybe it has something to do with other options or my system configuration?
I am running Win 7 64bit, i5 750@3.8ghz, geforce 260, 8gb of ram, audigy 2 value.

It's a known issue. You can't do anything. You can eventually try to overclock a little bit to optimize your speed

On my System, Mario Galaxy 2 often crashes randomly after playing for a while. (3.0-716 HLE DX11) Mario Galxy 1 however seems to run stable and only rarely crashes.
