Intel's Extreme CPUs can only be used in gaming notebooks. Macbook Pro ≠ Gaming notebook Tongue

I guess, I'll buy (some day) a notebook with a Intel extreme CPU and a small Macbook Air -> notebook with the extreme CPU for Dolphin and games, Macbook Air for school and Office stuff. Cool

How much did u pay for that beast of notebook? I'm interested Big Grin Anyway, I guess more than 2.200€ Tongue (btw: I would have bought the i7-3920XM, the 2nd fastest mobile CPU, it's much cheaper and can be also overclocked. Wink The only difference is afaik, that the 3940XM has 100MHz more clock speed Tongue )
It cost me 4289 euros or 3357 brittish pounds comes with intel i7 3940xm, 2x nvidia 675gtx, 3 hard drives featuring 1 ssd on 180gb and 2 hybrid drives on 750gb, 32gb ram (extreme performance) windows ultimate,tv tuner, normal dvd drive (had to cut some expenses there he he.

AND NOW IM PRETTY BROKE Big Grin

So my CPU @ 4.5 runs this game at almost constant 60 fps, but it drops at certain 'spots' in the game. Such as this

http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4369/lag1.png

and this

http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/5302/lag2.png

When I turn my frame limiter off it speeds up near or at 60 fps at these certain sparts, but if I limit the frame rate I get fps like in those 2 pics. With frame rate limiter off I get 80-88 fps, 61 fps if it drops to the lowest for LLE, and HLE I get 85-95 fps and it doesn't drop pass 65.

Is this all normal for my CPU?

Hello, Guys!
When i check the option "DSP LLE on thread", the game randomly crashes. There's a way to fix this problem?

Thx

Not really. It's a known issue that games that use the Zelda ucode (this includes SMG1 & 2) tend to get random crashes with LLE audio and LLE on Threads. Also, I think skid's mentioned that LLE on Thread might not give a noticeable speed boost in Zelda ucode games. You can try it for yourself to see if there's a performance difference. Personally, I've never gotten one of these random crashes (but on the other hand, I haven't played WW or SMG2 long enough :p).

Unfortunately, the performance with LLE on thread unchecked, give me a poor performance( frame drops 30-40) Sad

There is definitely a frame boost having LLE on thread checked but crashes for me as well.
