Will there ever be a fix for the bloom effects that render incorrectly above the games native resolution? If the emulator that runs the game on Nvidia Shield can render them correctly, than there's absolutely no reason Dolphin shouldn't as well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C29QBCY57-E

Disabling this setting basically makes the game render at its native resolution in certain parts of the game, yes the bloom is fixed, but the graphics looks the same as native res. The official emulated port on Nvidia Shield renders the game fine, no bloom issue at all, and runs at 720p. Why can't Dolphin do this? 11-29-2021, 09:47 PM

Try using this Dolphin build: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GC1nxHA...sp=sharing It has a slider in the advanced graphic settings to exclude smaller EFB copies from scaling, which usually come from bloom effects. 11-30-2021, 06:57 AM

Turning this setting on fixes the double halo around the bloom objects, that way I can render the game above Native resolution. However, it seems like Dolphin has always had an issue with the bloom effects, because even with EFB copies disabled, or using the slider, or even rendering the game at native resolution, the bloom flickers when moving the camera, it's just that the flickering is more apparent above native resolution. Alas, this slider setting will have to do for now, until Dolphin can render bloom effects in this game perfectly like the official emulated port does on the Nvidia Shield. 06-19-2022, 10:17 PM
When it gets past the Wii Safety/Disclaimer screen, the screen simply turns black. Been that way since I installed my Solid State Drive, but was fine before.
I am running Windows 10 x64, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz, AMD Radeon RX 580 series, I unchecked Skip EFB Access from CPU, I made sure to use two cores, tried Direct 12, Direct 11, and Vulkan, enabled mismatched region settings... Still nothing. Dolphin build 5.0-16380-x64 One thing I did on my old hard drive is I used a Pro Controller for the pointing and now I have a Sensor Bar, will that change anything? 06-20-2022, 12:11 AM
When you transferred your game, did it also move to the new SSD? If you right-click the game in Dolphin's game list > Properties > Verify Tab > Verify, does it say your disc image is still a good copy?

My games are still on my old HD (my old HD kept freezing up but I formatted it for space purposes before transferring my old files back to it). But I know at least Zelda: Twilight Princess and Sonic and the Secret Rings are working fine. I'll give that a try, moving my games to the SSD I installed Windows on and am booting from. |
