I tried to play this game, and when I enable dual core, the game runs at about 30% speed. When I disable dual core, the game runs at around 90% speed, but the sound is really glitchy when the game isn't running at 100%.
I'm using the latest development build.
Any idea why this happens?

Are you running with your laptop plugged into power?
Do you have the latest GPU drivers installed?
Do you have a high performance power plan for Dolphin in the Nvidia Control Panel?
Do you have Windows Power Options set to High Performance?

1. Yes, I have all of these enabled.
2. I don't think it has to do with the computer hardware. Dual Core usually speeds a game up but for SMG it makes the game lag severely. It's obviously a problem with Dolphin.

Make sure sync GPU thread under the games properties is not enabled by mistake.

Okay, thanks
but here's the weird thing:
I have two laptops, one for work and one for gaming.
So I tried SMG on my other laptop with the same version of Dolphin:
i5U-5250 1.6GHz
Intel HD 600
8GB
The game can run at nearly 200% speed with dual core on! This doesn't make any sense. This computer should be one tenth as powerful as my other one.
What's going on here?

Can you post your configs? I don't play on laptops but have heard that power management plans can affects PC game and emulator performance dramatically. Make sure you are on the "high performance" power management plan.
