Is it possible to complete this using an Xbox controller? I'm up to the kitchen and managed so far fairly well, just swapping profiles when need tilt (eg Manta ray surfing).

Sure the only games not completable with just a controller are the motion+ exclusive games. 10-18-2016, 09:57 AM

Thanks, wasn't meaning just compatible but if you ever need all three analogue inputs at the same time. i.e. Both tilt and IR pointer Having the IR pointer on the right stick is working fairly well but reaching over to use my left thumb if need to push buttons as well, e.g. shoot stars. 10-18-2016, 02:32 PM
Yeh, as the game uses both the wiimote and nunchuck, I could not find a satisfactory set up with just a controller. I had to use a controller and a mouse for the IR (and mouse buttons). Played the game at my desk and had to switch my right hand between the controller and the mouse. I tended to use the IR only if I had to because it took that extra quarter second to switch. Still great fun.

What do you mean by "won't work"? Is it too slow? Do the games crash? Is the screen black?

Hi there,
I set up Super Mario Galaxy on Dolphin 5.0 with high definition textures, but when I played the game there were FPS drops every time something remotely active happened in the game world. Alongside the FPS drops were audio and movement speed slowdowns, hurting the quality of the game. I did some research into this problem and per Dolphin's Wiki page on Super Mario Galaxy, I found that a weaker computer than mine with Dolphin 5.0 was able to run the game with a constant 60 FPS. As should be evident from my specifications below, my computer ought to have more than enough power to run this game smoothly, but that seems to not be the case. I would appreciate any advice on what "Config", "Graphics", and Super Mario Galaxy "Properties" I ought to set in order to achieve a solid frame rate and/or fix the problem.
